<div>I am Adam Rasmussen, husband of Lacy Rasmussen (Cole). On Tuesday, May 14th 2024, Lacy’s father Brad Cole was killed in an unprovoked, violent robbery attempt of his dog Callie while celebrating his 37th wedding anniversary with his wife Debbie Cole on the Oregon Coast in Lincoln City, Oregon. Debbie was successfully able to secure the dog from the attacker, but was shocked to turn around to see her husband lying on the ground unconscious. Despite life saving attempts, Brad did not survive. Bystanders were able to apprehend the suspect until deputies arrived to take him into custody. We have since learned the attack has been caught on surveillance and the subject admitted fault. Debbie and Brad did not deserve this.

<div>Brad was married to Debbie for 37 years where they lived in Milwaukie, Oregon and raised three beautiful children, Lacy, Travis and Chase.

<div>Travis and his wife Sarah, were able to bring Brad tremendous amounts of joy by making him a Grandpa of four grandkids. They loved spending time with him every Saturday for pancakes and he was famous for his spaghetti dinners, which were so beloved they were requested for many of their birthday parties.

<div>Brad brought joy to the room. He loved you, even if he barely knew you. He wanted to know your story, make you laugh and to make sure you were taken care of. Never himself before you.

<div>While thankful the suspect is behind bars, the Cole family is left with a large amount of unexpected expenses of transferring Brad back home and the remaining funeral services and fees that will occur, and while Debbie is still in the middle of the criminal investigation, this will only complicate matters.





</div>

<div>Debbie recently retired and is at a loss on what the next chapter will look like without her loving and supportive husband Brad.





</div>
