Help Deb to help Ukraine

As the war in Ukraine continues and more families are trying to escape, leaving their men and boys behind to fight, this once beautiful country is almost destroyed and families are broken.
I visited Kyiv just a few years ago. A normal city just like Birmingham, with a Zara and a shopping centre just like the Bull Ring. The people went to work every day doing normal jobs just like us. Never dreaming this could happen to them.
Well I’ve worked in A&E looking after the injured and wounded for years. And worked as a medic at many events and festivals. Now I want to give help to these poor people.
With the support of UKDoctors and under the guidance of medics already working in Ukraine and on the borders, myself and two other medics are going to make the journey across Europe taking a van full of much needed supplies, then help doing whatever we can, wherever we can. This is a voluntary trip which we will need to fund entirely ourselves… fuel, crossings, insurance, lodgings etc. The government is not funding these medical/humanitarian trips.
But we are set and ready to go next weekend. Please please any donations towards our costs would be amazing. Every single penny will go towards us helping the refugees
