<div>Afgelopen zaterdag, 22 juni, vond de Caribbean Zumba Beach Party 2024 plaats. Net zoals de afgelopen 16 jaar leek het weer een gezellige dag te worden. Helaas heeft er een incident plaatsgevonden waarbij Aron Jansen ernstig verbrand is geraakt. Daarnaast is Huibert van de Leije (bekend bij velen als Stone) en nog twee andere leden van de keukenploeg ook licht gewond geraakt.

<div>Stone is al jaren een van de instructeurs op de Caribbean Zumba Beach Party en de afgelopen jaren verzorgde hij samen met zijn beste maatje Aron de maaltijden op dit evenement. Hun toewijding en inzet zijn een essentieel onderdeel van de feestvreugde die we allemaal zo waarderen. Ik kan niet met handen over elkaar gaan zitten en niks doen. Daarom vraag ik iedereen om deze slachtoffers te helpen door iets te doneren.

<div>We willen een professionele crowdfundingscampagne starten om Aron, Stone en de andere gewonden te ondersteunen en hen te helpen met de kosten en andere uitgaven tijdens hun herstelperiode. De Zumba-gemeenschap staat bekend om haar steun en saamhorigheid, en we willen laten zien dat we er zijn voor elkaar in tijden van nood. Alle donaties zullen rechtstreeks naar de slachtoffers gaan om hen te helpen bij hun herstel.
