<div>Mijn naam is Daniel de Droog, ik ben 23 jaar oud en in 2023 begon ik aan de grootste uitdaging van mijn leven — een eigen automotive bedrijf opbouwen vanuit het niets. Met bloed, zweet en tranen bouwde ik De Droog Automotive op tot iets waar ik ontzettend trots op was.

<div>Om 16:10 in Zwaanshoek brak er een verwoestende brand uit achter mijn bedrijf waar ik totaal geen invloed op had die alles vernietigde wat ik in 3,5 jaar had opgebouwd. Geen steen is onbeschadigd gebleven. De werkplaats, de apparatuur, het gereedschap, de inventaris — alles weg. Wat overblijft zijn de muren, de as, en een 23-jarige ondernemer die met een onwerkelijk gevoel van ongeloof naar de puinhopen van zijn leven staat te kijken.

<div>De Droog Automotive was meer dan een bedrijf. Het was mijn passie. Elke dag vroeg op, elke avond laat naar bed. Geen vakantie, geen rust — alleen bouwen aan iets waar ik trots op was. Een plek waar klanten terechtkonden voor tuning, onderhoud, reparatie en diagnose. Een plek die ik met eigen handen heb neergezet op mijn 20ste.
