In January of 2017, David had surgery for a rare cancer of the liver called cholangiocarcinoma. No chemotherapy or radiation was needed as the doctors thought they had removed the cancer. In August of 2018, he started having difficulty swallowing and after some more testing he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. After a PET scan, it was discovered that he also has 5 lesions on his liver in addition to a tumor on his esophagus.
Chemotherapy and radiation has been recommended. He has been given 6 months to live without any chemotherapy or radiation; 12 months with treatment, so your donation is needed as soon as possible.
The news has been devastating to our family. One would think the trauma of losing two of his children; Jack in 1987, murdered and still unsolved and his beloved daughter Tracy from Huntington's Chorea in 2015 would be all one would have to endure in a lifetime. But apparently, this is not the case.
David is a fighter and wants to fight the cancer an alternative way, namely the Gerson Therapy. However, like most alternative therapies, it is not covered by insurance. The funds will be used for a stay at the Gerson Center.
Something more you should know about David. He is a generous guy who would give you the shirt off his back. He is generous with his time and any resources he has available. Just an all-round nice guy that is always to first to help someone in need. Those of you who know him, can testify to this.
Please find it in your heart to help David beat these cancers.
Thank you in advance for your generous donations, it means the world to us.
God bless you for your prayers and generosity.
