Help David Speak Again- Fighting Throat Cancer

This GoFundMe was created on behalf of David to help him through this difficult time, which includes some significant financial barriers. Recently, David has been diagnosed with throat cancer (stage to be determined, suspected Stage 3). Our goal is to get our dear friend home to Massachusetts from Kansas to battle this horrible disease with family and to help with his upcoming medical bills. This diagnosis is coming after a series of hardships, detailed below. His friends describe him as "everyone's best friend" and someone who can make you laugh without even trying. David's story and the need:

This diagnosis comes after a very hard year for David. Christmas of 2020 marked one year since losing his partner of 37 years, Steve, to liver cancer. After losing Steve and all that comes with cancer and someone's passing, COVID hit, which has made employment difficult. Due to this, he is without health insurance at the time of diagnosis. Currently, he is left alone in Kansas, navigating this scary time without his support system or the means to move himself home to Massachusetts. 

Our goal is to get David home so he has the support to fight this disease with all he's got and beat this cancer. We especially want him in Boston for the best medical care he can get. These donations will be used towards moving expenses and medical bills.
