<div>Since the day David arrived on the food scene here making fresh guacamole, tamales, and ceviche at the farmer's market, he has loved this community. In short order, he opened Tortuga, a place meant for everyone to enjoy fresh street food... usually finishing with an ice cream treat from Pink Pony. David's tenacious spirit won't let the hurricane's destruction be Tortuga's last chapter. <strong>He's already back in there, assessing where to pick up and begin again, planning how to manage through.</strong> You'll see him and his good friends and neighbors working out there at 471 Park Ave this week, cutting through the sand, the clay, the sticky salt coating, preparing to start again. Any donation will be appreciated and expedite the restaurant reopening.
