My son, David, has been incarcerated for 20 years for a crime he did not commit. His conviction was the result of a corrupt detective who coerced David into confessing and pressured others to make false statements against him. Those statements have since been recanted, and the detective has a history of wrongdoing in other cases, which has led to the release of innocent people. When David asked for an attorney during the interrogation process, the delay in allowing him to speak with his attorney was used to coerce him into writing a statement. Our family has struggled to get anyone to truly listen to our story.

The pain and trials we have endured during David’s incarceration have been overwhelming, and he has come close to death more than once. Through it all, our faith in God has kept us standing and given us hope for a future where justice prevails.

 We are now seeking to raise funds to retain an attorney who can file a motion to get David back into court and fight for his freedom. We have waited patiently, and now is the time to move forward. Our story is one of hope, faith, and perseverance, and we ask for your support to help us seek justice for David and give all the glory to God.
