Help David Falk Write a Book on the Exodus Plagues

My name is Dr. David A. Falk, and I have spent twenty years studying ancient Egypt and the Bible.  I frequently hear people say “There is no evidence for exodus,” but this simply isn’t true.  There have been more archaeological discoveries made in the last 50 years than in all biblical scholarship in the last 1500. 

As an Egyptologist who is also a Biblical scholar, my passion is to reveal to people the connections between ancient Egypt and the Bible.  Already I have successfully shown these connections with my previous book The Ark of Covenant in its Egyptian Context: An Illustrated Journey, published by Hendrickson Publishing.  By understanding the cultural context based upon the most recent data, modern scholarship is beginning to understand that the Bible contains real history.

In this GoFundMe campaign, I am trying to raise funds in order to write a book on the Ten Plagues of the Exodus.  I intend to write this book within a year of earning the funds.  Already my writing has helped Christians and Jews understand the Bible in new, dynamic ways.  And this project will help readers make sense of the Ten Plagues as they would have been understood to those living in ancient Egypt.

Over the last six years, I used my own resources and savings to buy me the time to write.  However, the last couple of years have completely drained all my resources.  And without having an academic post to help support my writing endeavours, I was struggling to maintain my writing schedule.  At that point several friends suggested that I needed to reach out and begin a GoFundMe campaign to bring my next book to completion. 

In my research, I have found a lot of good evidence for the exodus and for the context establishing the historicity of the Pentateuch.  My work is important because the Egyptian evidence supports a biblical exodus.  And this book project will benefit anyone who wants real evidence to bolster their faith.
