High everyone. this is Michael Doke and  I am starting this gofundme for a dear friend and one of Athen's finest humans and world class fiddle player David Blackmon. David has had health issues for a while that has recently manifested into surgery to amputate the lower section of both his legs. he is currently in the hospital and recovering and could really use some financial help. David has a decades long and rich history of performing and recording with  multiple musical acts of the southern United States and beyond. from The Normaltown Flyers to Widespread Panic to Bluegrass Underground to Jerry Reed and  many many more. Aside from being a world class fiddler he is also one of the nicest and most supportive musicians I have ever known. if you have never heard him play you owe it to yourself to check out some of his work online. He is hoping to recover and return to playing music and has a  long tough road ahead of him.
