Many of you have heard about David Van Elst being ill with septicemia.
He was rushed to hospital some weeks ago now, where doctors weren’t sure he’d even make it though the night.... Not so awesome.
He spent a couple of weeks in intensive care, unsure if he would lose fingers and/or toes. Then a ward and then a rehab centre where he’s had to learn to walk again. Fortunately he’s managed to hold onto all his digits and he’s home now, but sadly, far from out of the woods...
Tests have shown that Dave is suffering from a type of blood cancer called ‘Multiple Myeloma’.
He has a long battle ahead, starting with chemo, which if all goes to plan, will lead to a stem cell transplant and then remission for as long as possible.
Dave, Tan and their 4 kids have enough to deal with other than their financial situation at the moment, so let's help to remove that from the equation and reduce their stress somewhat, so that they can focus on Dave's treatment and recovery.
