<div>We are raising funds to help Darren Fredrick Deards to rebuild his life after a fire decimated his home in Tenerife.

<div>Darren has been living and working on The Rock for more than 30 years and until recently had a rented apartment that he lived in for more than 20 years.

<div>Due to rent increases and lack of affordable long term rentals on the island. He, like many others, found himself in a situation that meant he could be potentially homeless.

<div>He made the decision to get a loan from the bank to purchase a camper van to live in, in the hope that the shortage of affordable accommodation would improve in the future and settled into what was to be his new hone.

<div>Yesterday a fire ripped through the vehicle leaving Darren with nothing but the clothes he stood in and a burnt out shell that was his home.
