<div><strong>Daniel Lee Doelle Jr made Smash Dads from nothing.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He created a family business, brought it to the community and was accepted with open arms.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He single handedly acquired everything he would need to start his business and opened up shop proudly.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Within this time he has brought the <strong>community together countless times, has supported Baltimore food pantries, and gives everything he’s got every single day.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, on 11/14/2025 at 10:30pm, a man changed his life as we know it for the worst, a black pickup truck carrying lawnmowers slowed past Daniel’s ONLY family/work vehicle, broke the window, hotwired his truck - and made off with not only with Daniel’s truck but ALL of Smash Dads business supplies, Blackstone Grill, cash box… and even his toddlers Spider-Man light up shoes.. that truck was the HEART of Smash Dads. And the heart of Daniel.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In under 3 minutes , his life was changed entirely. His family business paid every bill, put diapers on his sons bottom, food in his sons stomach , kept the community together, and over-all was his everything…
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are looking to help Daniel get back what was stolen from him, or help him get back on track before the winter hits.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As for now, Smash Dads is closed until further notice. Keep Daniel and his family in your thoughts and prayers…
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Words from Daniel himself:
</div>
<div>”I started this business as a way to be close with my community after feeling like an outsider for so long… I started this business to bring peace to my heart that my son would never go hungry. I started this business with every dollar I had in my pocket and every ounce of strength in my veins..
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I didn’t give up, I didn’t fall down, I didn’t fail, I never wavered, whether it was holding my canopy to the ground while I cooked in a thunderstorm or making sure I didn’t pass out from heat exhaustion during this summers heat wave with 100+ degree weather every day.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>No, I didn’t fail, I was robbed of my hard work, of my truck that I fought and toiled so hard to get, my grill that I made sure was clean and all the wheels were tight at the start of every service. The table that was falling apart so much to the point that I now know how to build a f**king plastic table.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I wasn’t just robbed of my truck. They stole my peace, my income, and my right to pursue the American dream that were all promised from birth as a right…
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I was robbed of making people smile. Robbed of the happy hearts and friends I’ve made along the way. <strong><em>This wasn’t just a truck these people stole, it was my life.</em></strong>” -Daniel L. Doelle Jr.
