Help Daniel Heal

Daniel, a previously healthy 33 year old, was diagnosed with a brain growth (Cholesteatoma) that required extensive surgery (Mastoidectomy) to remove. This cholesteatoma had been growing in his head for 20+ years. Last month, he woke up with a headache and double vision that landed him in the emergency room. 

Daniel's initial surgery saved his life, however, because the cholesteatoma was so large (about the size of an elongated softball) he will need another surgery to remove more of it as soon as the infection caused by the growth heals.  He now has a plate in his head that may or may not be rejected by his body and is on intravenous antibiotics for the next five to six weeks.  Also, since cholesteatomas tend to regenerate themselves, he will require monitoring every five years that may lead to additional surgeries throughout his lifetime. 

Daniel is recuperating at home from his first surgery but is facing some enormous medical expenses as he was without health insurance.  Because he was between jobs and in good health, signing up for health insurance was not foremost on his mind.  Since his diagnosis, he will be unable to work for the foreseeable future and needs help with current and future medical bills.  Those of us who know Daniel know that he would give the shirt off his back and his last cent to help someone else in need.  This is our opportunity to return the favor for someone who would never ask for a penny for himself.  Help Daniel Heal.  We can do this!
