Danette is an old friend who has always been there for me in my time of need. She’s the kind of person who puts others first and never asks for anything in return. Recently, Danette made a big move to Ohio, hoping for a fresh start and a better life. She found work at Amazon and was determined to build something new for herself.

 Unfortunately, things took a difficult turn. Danette was injured on the job and, despite her best efforts, was denied workman’s compensation. Now, she finds herself alone in Ohio, far from her support system, and facing the very real threat of homelessness. For over three months, Danette has managed to hang on, doing everything she can to stay afloat while unable to work. But the financial burden has become too much to bear on her own.
