Help Dana Get a used van!

Hello, my name is Dana Murray. I am 54 years old and I have MS, which is a debilitating disease that takes away motor function. I was diagnosed with MS in 1998 and slowly over the years it has taken my ability to walk and limits the movement in my hands and other functions. Because of its effects I was forced to close my small engine business, which was my livelihood. My other passion was—and still remains—the great outdoors.

Prior to MS, I was very active in the outdoors, walking and hiking in the woods. I loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed exploring the beautiful Missouri land. I have wonderful memories of outdoor adventures with my son, who sadly passed away in 2007.

Unfortunately, now I am limited to my living room and my front porch. My outdoor adventures are restricted to my memories. I would like to move forward with my life and create new memories that go beyond the limits of my house.  I now get great enjoyment with taking pictures of the great outdoors.  It's just so difficult for my wife to get me in and out of our Jeep.  Just too much lifting for her and it's then difficult for her to load the scooter on the back of the Jeep.  An accesssible  vehicle would help be look at nature again from other view points than my front porch and help us get to doctor appointments, church and to visit with friends and family.  I am still amazed by God's creations each day, but I long to see more.
