<div>For many years, Dan has given selflessly as a first responder in Road Rescue with Bendigo SES, and as President of the QLD branch of Partisans Australia, a PTSD charity for first responders, veterans, and their families. He also mentors and inspires others on their mental health and fitness journeys, always giving his time freely.

<div>It has been a challenging road over the last 18 months. Dan suffered a major heart attack just a week after undergoing hernia surgery, followed by two major ear operations six months later. Despite these setbacks, his determination to rebuild his health and strength has never wavered.

<div>Just 40 days ago, he set himself a powerful challenge: to step back on stage in bodybuilding, 10 years after his last show.

<div>Last weekend, against all odds, he competed at the NABBA Queensland Championships and achieved incredible results:

<div> Classic Bodybuilding Novice – 2nd Place

<div> Classic Bodybuilding Open – 2nd Place

<div> Class 1 Men (over 179cm) – 2nd Place

<div>These placings mean Dan has qualified for the NABBA Australian Championship Titles in Sydney this weekend. If he can make it there, he has a strong chance of securing a spot to represent Australia at the World Championships in the UK just two weeks later.
