Help Damien Get Blood Transfusion

Hello everyone.

A few days ago, we asked "Where is Damien Lefevre?" because he was being unusually silent. As many of you know, Damien has been an active member in our small community, so his silence was abnormal.

Long story short, Damien needs blood. A lot of it.
Here's the tricky part.
Damien lives in Manila, Philippines. He's more or less alone (his partner is studying in Canada at the moment). He also doesn't have the financial means to take care of his immediate health problems. Right now he may have to wait longer than a month to get transfusions, and even that is not guaranteed. From what I understand, the already not-so-good public health system in the Philippines is doing even worse with COVID, so they put him in a waiting list and sent him home.
In other words, Damien could die if something isn't done ASAP.
I have been talking to him and according to his calculations he needs the equivalent of 2000 euros to take care of his condition. That includes the 10 bags of transfusion, the ambulance fees, doctor fees, hospital room fees.. The biggest issue is still finding donors (apparently donations have almost stopped completely due to COVID) but luckily his blood type is A RH+, the most common. So what we need is to be able to say "Here's the money, NOW CURE ME!"

I know these are economically difficult times for everyone. But if we all chip in, we could EASILY raise 2000 euros, I truly believe that. I'm asking each and everyone of you, if you can spare even a few euros, it can go a long way. Let's help our brother.
