ARE YOU A DALYAN LOVER AND ARE YOU MISSING DALYAN? WE ARE MISSING YOU TOO!
The whole world has been effected by Covid-19 and so has the all life in Dalyan. Empty streets, a closed harbour and also the familiar boat sounds are no longer there. Many households in Dalyan have no income anymore and what we had feared is slowly becoming a reality... Many families need help!
That is why we have started a FOOD PACKAGES FUND in cooperation with the muhtars and local gendarma. For about 11 Pounds we can support a household and provide them with a food package. The package contains the most essential necessities such as beans, rice, spaghetti, tomato sauce, oil and much more, that a family can live on for an average of 10 days.
The families are verified by the muhtars and gendarma. The food packages are distributed to them anonymously. With the message that says "this is from your friends in Dalyan and overseas with love". The criteria is that need has arisen from job loss due to the Covid-19 crisis. As the Covid-19 virus winds down so will we. In the meantime, we will continue as long as needed and the funds continue to come.
We have already distributed 262 parcels in Dalyan and the surrounding villages. We have already collected a lot of money from the villagers and foreign residents, but this money flow is now slowing down because unfortunately, almost all of our local people are dependent on tourism in one way or another.
Will you help us by donating money? We will take care of the rest to arrange ALL of your donations to reach those who are in need of it most!
