Dakota Lee was born eight-weeks premature on December 17 by emergency C-section to parents Dustin and Desiree Halsne. Dakota weighed only 4 pounds .2 ounces at birth and measured just 15 1/2 inches long.
The first night of Dakota’s life was extremely difficult, but she proved to be a true fighter and made it through. In the following days, her weight dropped to an alarming 3 pounds. Since then, Dakota is slowly gaining weight and is now breathing on her own. Her parents have been able to briefly hold her and are just slightly less terrified than they were in the first two weeks of Dakota’s life.
The doctors expect that Dakota will be in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for an additional six weeks. The medical bills will no doubt be enormous. Let us help this amazing young family take some financial burden off their already exhausted minds. Please give what you can. All donations will be used to pay medical bills for little Dakota Lee.

Please keep the prayers coming for little Miss Dakota, she has a long road ahead of her.
