With no history of any illness, Tito came home yesterday, Dec 2, 2017 feeling a pain in his chest. He took an over the counter medication and minutes later collapsed in his living room having a massive heart attack. Flat lining 3 times before peramedics rushed him to the hospital, his wife Paula was able to leave a hospital where she was volunteering to be by his side. When she arrived at the hospital she was informed he was awaiting emergency surgery, afterwhich she was consoled being told Tito had just come out of the "Widow maker surgery"...the worst thing a wife could ever hear while seeing her husband unconscious in the ICU.
His son and daughter, Luke and Lauren, adore him. His family loves him inconditionally. His friends speak only kind words to show how selfless he is.
And now, when nothing else matters, what matters most? Family, Health, and Peace of Mind.
His Family is at his side, and those who are not are calling, texting, and praying for him.
His Health. He has survived is first major surgery. Still fully intubated in the ICU he is now awake and responsive via blinking eyes and tapping fingers. So his health, we are praying, will continue to improve. The next 48 hours and surgeries to follow are just as crucial as the first.
The only thing missing is now Peace of Mind. How will they cover the expenses that come with such a life changing event? Where can anyone look for support in a time like this? Where a family will be devastated financially and will probably spend the rest of their lives recovering from the trauma and expense that just landed in their lap.
We are hoping to reach anyone with a willingness to contribute to their cause. To support a loving and adored father. To love a friend. To help one of the good guys who spends so much time helping others. To lend a hand to a man who has spent his life paying it forward.
