Hello.
My father is 57 years old and he worked as a call center agent for over 15 years. He was able to put us all his children to school because of his work. Thankfully, my youngest brother will be graduating soon.
Because of his work schedule, he started feeling fatigue even at the simplest or slightest activity. We have advised him several times to resign but because he wanted to continue supporting us, he insisted because he knows how difficult it can be especially with one kid in college. As days passed, he started leaving work early due to fatigue until he can no longer go to work.
We had him checked and undergone CBC lab tests. The results showed abnormalities in his blood so we decided to go through more tests like Bone Marrow Aspiration, Fish MDS, and AML Panel. The lab results indicated that he is positive for Myelodysplastic Syndrome (a precursor to Leukemia) or Blood Cancer.

We are devastated. Added to the pain of knowing his situation is the financial challenges that come with it. We were advised by the doctor that our Dad will undergo chemotherapy.
Unfortunately, despite us all working, we are not financially ready to handle his chemotherapy and other medications. His chemotherapy injectables (5 vials) cost P140,000 ($2,800) per month (P28,000 ($560) per vial x 5) and he needs it for 4 months (4 cycles). That’s a total of P560,000 ($11,200) in 4 months which we do not have. He would also need blood transfusion as part of his medication.
We have reached out to government agencies for medical assistance and financial support but this usually takes long, and time is not on our side. We need to take care of the first cycle of treatment as soon as possible.
Because of that, we are humbly asking your help for our dad’s medication and treatment. Our father is a good man and we want his life to be longer and spend more time with him. We would appreciate any help you can give us.
