Help Dad fight stage 4 stomach cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jess I'm raising money to help my Dad, Steven, afford cancer treatment. This August after severe stomach pain and trouble swallowing he ended up at the hospital where they gave us the bad news he has stage four terminal stomach and esophageal cancer. As many of you know cancer is something that affects many, enters your life without notice and blows up your entire life. My father dedicated his life being very strict with his diet, and growing and raising as much of his own organic food as possible on his property in Vermont. When he received this diagnosis he went to four of the top cancer hospitals we have learned standard treatment of full dose chemo is very risky for him especially with his added kidney failure not allowing him to filter out the intense chemo medications. After traveling more than he has my entire life, including a trip to MD Anderson in Houston. He was left without any hope. I'll be honest stomach cancer is a bad diagnosis to receive. His cancer extends into his esophagus, because he is not able to eat properly he is weak and tired easily.
Persevering on with lots of research and a trip to Lifeworks Wellness Center in Clearwater, Florida, his hope is renewed! They practice integrative oncology they can offer him a much lower dose of chemotherapy which will be tested against his cancer cells prior to administering, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, ozone therapy and much more. They will focus on his whole body health. While my Dads faith inspires me and is unwavering, he knows where he is going when his time is up but has made it clear he is not ready to leave his family, and friends and he is ready for the fight of his life. He is planning on receiving 5-6 hours of treatment everyday for at least 12 weeks and will have to relocate for treatment.
However, this treatment comes with significant financial challenges. Insurance doesn't cover his treatment and to give Dad a fighting chance, we need to raise $125,000 for medical expenses, including his intensive medical treatment, travel and relocation during treatment.
If you've made it this far thank you so much for even reading this, anything helps including your thoughts and prayers. We love him so much and we want to be able to support him and take the burden off financially so he can focus on healing
Please consider sharing this it would mean the world to me.
xoxo Jess
