<div>UPDATE 8/1 - My dad had his PET scan this past Wednesday and we got the results yesterday. Unfortunately it wasn’t the news we were hoping for. In addition to his spine he now has spots in his chest and abdomen as well. We are staying positive and he’s continuing with immunotherapy in addition to beginning radiation again. Please send prayers ❤️

<div>My dad was diagnosed with kidney cancer a couple years ago while still working. Following his kidney removal surgery he made the decision to retire from PG&amp;E after 35+ years. In 2025 the cancer spread to his lung and he had a lobectomy done. As of July he began experiencing lower back pain and although we just thought he overdid it trying to get things done around the house his scan showed a lesion now in his spine. His doctors wanted to begin treatment immediately due to how quickly the cancer spread so he began immunotherapy July 17th. He will continue these treatments every 3 weeks for the next 12 weeks and the surgeons are currently focusing on an additional treatment plan which may include cyber knife.

<div>With that said, I had many people reach out following a Facebook post thanking someone that paid for our coffees in the drive thru line without knowing how big of an impact they would make. I have been taking coffee every day to my dad while he’s unable to drive and many of you asked if you could also by him a coffee. This fundraiser has now been created for just that.
