Help Cura Cura Complete Our Album

Donation protected
We are very excited to be raising this money to complete our first album by the early 2019.  Please help us by sharing this widely,  preordering the album and purchasing any of the other great gifts and offerings we have prepared for you - our collaborators - in helping to give life to this album.  See below for all the swag and cool ways you can support this birth. We will be so very grateful to each and every one of you who participates in any way, large or small in helping us to realize this project to its completion.

Cura Cura is Rock-Soul-Medicine spearheaded by Patrick Surdam (vocals/ guitar), Sam McGarrity (guitar/vocals/ keyboards) both of 'The Nice Ones', Maryn Azoff (vocals/percussion) of 'Tribe of Love' and Elea Wilder (violin).

The album will feature additional collaboration by Dillon Halas (bass) and Tyler Beaujon (drums) both of ‘The Nice Ones," and Susanna Raeven(vocals/percussion) of 'Tribe of Love'.

Cura Cura's songs are simultaneously churning, ethereal, tender, sweet and emotionally rich, taking audiences on a journey through darkness  and back into light. The music is in its essence, shadow work.

Songwriter Patrick Surdam says,

"In these songs I am saying "This is my broken heart, this is my longing, this is my confusion, this is my anger, this is my sadness. Being fearless in this type of exposure as an artist, was the most healing thing I could think to do; just put it out there, reveal it. As this process of singing out the shadows evolved, the light started to come in…this album features the first song I’ve ever written that is ‘happy’ all the way through, which was a surprise really, but felt good. Hopefully there will be more of those as we continue to write-I think there will be.”

We have a few songs already recorded and mastered and the rest have all been written, but we need to record and mix the rest of the songs and master the entire album. These funds will cover approximately 12 days at Stone Studios in Lakeville, CT with Recording Engineer and Producer Graham Stone where we will finish tracking, mixing and mastering. Additionally these funds will cover album art and publishing. In short, these funds will be used to see this project all the way to completion.
