My dad, Cuong Vu, recently suffered a massive heart attack while he was working out in the gym in mid October. Fortunately, with the help of the loving friends that happened to be nearby, he was able to reach a hospital and receive immediate medical help.
In his heart, a large clot clogged his left anterior descending artery- also known as the widowmaker. While the “widowmaker” has this nickname for a reason, my dad is extremely fortunate to be living today- ultimately defying the odds of a 6% survival rate. While he will sadly never be able to fully return to his rigorous body building regimen, he is recovering well and is slowly returning to the routines of his daily life- a blessing that’s more than what we could’ve asked for.
With a mom who works two jobs, a father who is currently unemployed, and the expenses of paying for college tuition, we can’t express how grateful we would be for your support in satisfying medical expenses. While we are fortunate that our insurance covered a majority of the $70,000 medical cost, we are still in need of love and support in raising the remaining $6,000.
