Please Help TCIC Moderator Natalie's Cat Cubby

Your THIS CAT IS CHONKY  Admin/Mod team needs your support to help one of our own. You all know & love Natalie Coffey Bunting & her beloved avocado stealing boy, Cubby. For months Cubby has been tested for all kind of things to figure out his ravenous appetite, despite losing weight. It has taken over a year to get a diagnosis. Two ultrasounds, a huge battery of specialized testing, six regular blood panels, two trips to the dermatologist and two tests for Cushing's Disease, four months apart.

As of the last couple of weeks, Cubby has developed skin tears & open sores, requiring him to wear bandages & shirts to protect his fragile skin. What had been a medical mystery for over a year, Cubby has finally been diagnosed with Cushing's. He started new medication last Thursday & are hoping to see an improvement soon.

Natalie is much too proud to ask for any kind of assistance, but we at Team Chonky want to help. We are basically bullying her with love & good intentions to allow us to ask for donations to assist in Cubby's medical treatment.

Natalie & her family have to go out of town unexpectedly for a family emergency. Cubby will be boarded for the first time ever at his family vet's office, while there he will undergo more tests & many of these will be under sedation. Basically touching him right now has the potential to cause more skin tears.

We all know how much Cubby means to Natalie & to so many of you in the Chonky community. With the added expense of her family traveling & having to board Cubby, we want to at the very least ease her mind when it comes to Cubby's care & finances.  Treating Cushing's in cats is a bit of a guessing game because it's so rare.

Natalie's vet, Dr. Sue has been in practice for 30 years & Cubby is her first Cushing's cat.

Cubby will have to be tested every three weeks to ensure he is getting the right dose of medication & he is highly likely to develop diabetes. Due to all of his needs, he requires a comforting environment where he can be cared for round the clock while Natalie is out of town.

If you'd like to contribute, no matter how small the donation, we will be sending you a glossy 5x7 postcard of the great A B O C U B B O pictured in this Go Fund Me campaign.

**Once you donate, please click the Team Chonky email above where it says "Animals" & "Virginia Beach" on the Go Fund Me page with an address as to where you'd like your postcard to be sent. **

Thank you for your love & support!

In addition to Cubby, she has two diabetic Mini-Aussies (Kora Jean & Max) who require insulin injections twice daily, along with special supplements & eye drops. She also has a cat named Baxter that some of you might recognize from a few of the Facebook pages that Cubby is featured on. Baxter gets medication for hyperthryroidism, as well as Prozac.

Also, a HUGE shoutout to not to be dramatic but i would die for this cat for allowing THIS CAT IS CHONKY  to crosspost on their Facebook page.
