Help CT Federal Employees

So, Americans came together and so far have raised almost $20MM to help build a wall - yes you read that right all through GO FUND ME.

So Here I am trying to raise money for the everyday citizen, the Federal Employees, that are out of work because of this Shut Down for the "wall". I am not here to debate if we are for or against the wall; the back and forth arguments; and the crazy in the world right now. I am just here to help those in need. To help them pay their bills when something like this affects them severely but out of control. When some of them are still working without pay right now. When I can't imagine the stress of not being able to pay your rent/mortgage. Or worry about your kids meals and necessities. When the reality is many Americans do live paycheck to paycheck and where people with money and no hardships forget that.

Americans found the money to support the wall, why can't we find the money to support each other? I truly believe there are other Good Samaritans out there - so let's show them!

With that said, I am only one person so focusing on the state of CT, where I live. This will be easier to manage, promote, and distribute funds legitimately.

Per the Courant , The state has more than 7,500 federal employees, about 1,500 who work for agencies impacted by the shutdown. Employees are working with out pay and many are furloughed. Even if we were able to give $500 to each and every employee, that would be $750,000 needed just in CT.

How will this work? It's simple. Donate! And I will take care of the rest! If I receive direct requests I will evaluate those but as of now the money is being collected for CT Coast Guard Food Bank.. All funds will be distributed via Paypal and tracked and managed. All funds will initially be dispersed to me and I will distribute to the charity.

Why am I helping strangers? Because in this madness we need to remember that times can be hard, and we need to lean on others sometimes, pride aside. That there is still good left in the US. That people out there do understand. It only takes a few hours to help someone through a page like this, costs me nothing, and makes me feel warm and fuzzy :-)

Let's show the world we care and not just sit and watch the news on how badly people are affected!!
