Help Krystle and children survive loss of Dad

Hello friends and family,

I am starting this fund on behalf of Brandon Dozier who is raising support for his sister, Krystle Dozier Wurster and her children. Krystal is faced with the unthinkable. Her husband and father of her children, Chris is in the final stage of his battle with terminal cancer and has now fallen into a coma. (Update: 7:00 PM 6/26:  we just got word that Chris passed away a few hours ago). Krystal is now faced with the reality of surviving this catastrophe, helping her kids survive it, along with being tasked to now solely provide for herself and her children. For more information about Chris, below I copied/pasted a description from another GoFundMe started for Chris’s battle with cancer which was organized by his firefighter brothers.

Most of us can not even begin to imagine the pain, stress, and darkness Krystle now will have to endure. She has to navigate all this while emotionally, physically, and financially supporting herself and her kids and paying off associated medical bills. This whole family’s world is being flipped upside down and the foundation pulled from underneath of them. They are great people and the last family to deserve this. The least we can do is each pitch in a small amount of money to help relieve some of the burden and to help seed her and her children’s future. “In November of 2020, our good friend and brother Chris Wurster was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. Anyone who knows Chris, knows he is a hardworking, smart, kind, and strong individual who always puts the needs of his friends and family in front of his own. He is a devoted husband and father of two young children; a four year old daughter and a newborn baby boy.

Chris, a Firefighter for CALFIRE, who recently promoted to Engineer, works at Station 20 Nevada City, CA serving the people of Nevada County. Almost all of Chris’ adult life has been committed to helping protect the health and safety of others, but now Chris needs our help.

Chris is never the type of person to ever ask for assistance or a handout, which is why I am doing this without his knowledge. All the money that is raised will go to Chris and his family to help pay for all the associated bills and expenses that come along with this horrible disease.”
