My daughter Crissy’s world changed overnight when her husband, Ben, suffered a severe stroke and was rushed to the ICU. This is not how any of us expected to bring in 2026. Since Christmas Day, Crissy has been by his side at the hospital, unable to work her two jobs, and Ben is also unable to work. With both of their incomes gone, they are now facing mounting bills and uncertainty about the future.

 Ben had visited the hospital twice earlier in the week with troubling symptoms, but was sent home with medication for blood pressure and vertigo. Unfortunately, neither helped, and his condition worsened. Now, on top of the emotional toll, Crissy is struggling to cover rent, home bills, and the many medical expenses that are piling up. Their medical insurance is minimal, and they have no savings left after previous health challenges.

 Ben is a man who loves the outdoors—fishing, hunting, and watching wildlife, especially ducks and geese. He’s always been wonderful with his nieces and brings joy to those around him.
