<div>We know that a community’s success is the sum of its parts, and Big Gay Hudson Valley creates experiences &amp; promotes resources that empower people to make new connections, explore the Hudson Valley &amp; live as their authentic LGBTQ+ selves.

<div><strong>Big Gay Hudson Valley is raising funds to help underwrite the creation of one of what will be the world's largest Trans Pride flag. We're creating this flag as a show of resistance to the Federal Government's attempts to erase the Transgender community from our LGBTQIA+ history. </strong>

<div>The Trans Pride flag that we are creating will be 16 feet wide and 125 ft. long, and will raise the visibility of the Transgender community as part of Pride In The Sky, an annual recurring event that we host in partnership with the Walkway Over The Hudson in the Hudson Valley of New York.

<div><strong>The flag will be the spotlight of the 2025 Pride In The Sky Celebration on the Walkway Over The Hudson.</strong> Attended by more than 3500 members of the Hudson Valley queer community and our allies in 2024, this year's Pride In The Sky Celebration is scheduled for <strong>Saturday, May 17, 2025</strong> and we're only expecting the number of attendees to grow for its second year.

<div>During the Inaugural Pride In The Sky celebration in 2024, more than 250 volunteers carried two 600 ft sections of the original Sea-to-Sea flag created by Gilbert Baker, the designer of the original rainbow flag, across the Hudson River. The images of this procession - with the flag filling the Walkway Over The Hudson - were featured broadly on social media and in the press.

<div><strong>With your help, the oversized Trans Pride flag that we create will join the massive rainbow flag on loan to us by SPI Marketing. </strong>

<div><strong>The new LARGE Trans Pride Flag will lead this year's procession and will make a statement not just in the Hudson Valley - but across the nation - that our transgender community will not be erased and is not going to be written out of our history! </strong>

<div>The funds raised by this effort will go towards purchasing the materials, and funding the construction of this flag. After Pride In The Sky, Big Gay Hudson Valley will make this flag available to Pride events and celebrations across the United States so that it can continue to showcase and ensure visibility for the transgender community.
