My name is Maria Nieves. This fundraiser is for my dear mom, Betty Myers-Oxley, who passed away a week ago. She put up a good fight for 14 months. My mom was the sweetest and kindest person you could ever meet, full of smiles. She loved life. She was my partner in crime. She would go everywhere with me, from traveling the world, movies, shopping, dining out; there wasn't anything that I wouldn't do for her. She was my best friend. I'm so heartbroken that she is gone. I couldn't financially honor her last wishes completely, so I wanted to give her the most beautiful resting place.
