<div>My beautiful mom passed away last night and went home to be with Our Father. She is finally at peace, wrapped in God’s perfect love, and reunited with my dad in Heaven. Knowing they are together again brings us a little comfort in the middle of this heartbreak.
</div>

</div>
<div>She was not only my mom. She was our Nana, our sister, our gentle warrior, and the heart of our family. Her love, her strength, and her faith touched every one of us in ways we will carry with us forever.
</div>

</div>
<div>My boys loved their Nana deeply, and she loved them with her whole heart. They were her joy and her reason to smile even on the hardest days. My brother also shared a bond with her that will never fade, and we are walking through this together as a family held up by God’s grace.
</div>

</div>

<div>You know me as Meli, Roland and Sonia Greaux’s daughter.

<div>My heart is breaking as I write this. Four months ago, on July 15, 2025, I said goodbye to my father. I am still grieving him, still trying to make sense of losing such a strong and steady man who meant everything to our family. And now, I am facing the unimaginable all over again. My sweet mom is home on hospice, resting in my living room, slowly transitioning into the arms of Jesus.

<div>Just two and a half weeks after my father passed, I encouraged my mom to move in with me so she would never be alone. My boys, Dylan and Brayden, and my beautiful bonus daughters, Caitlin and Lauren, came together like a little army God placed around us. They helped me prepare the house, rearranged furniture, and made sure their Nana was surrounded by nothing but love, comfort, and peace. Watching them work together with such tenderness and devotion reminded me how faithful God is in sending the right people at the right time. I will forever be grateful for the way they stepped in and held our family up.

<div>My brother has been able to spend time with Mom too, and I am grateful God allowed them those moments together. I had no idea at the time that those weeks together would become some of the most sacred memories of my life.
</div>

<div>Mom had been feeling unwell for months, and I took her to several specialists searching for answers. I watched her tiny four foot eleven inch frame grow weaker. Even walking to the kitchen became too painful.
</div>

</div>
<div>On Saturday, October 25, 2025, when I went in to say good morning, she softly said, “Can you take me to the ER.” In that moment, I could see she was tired and in pain, and she needed help that only God and the doctors could give.
</div>

</div>
<div>She was admitted on October 26, 2025. After CT scans, MRIs, and biopsies, we received confirmation that no daughter ever wants to hear. My mom had a mass in her pelvic area, and the cancer had metastasized. The world stopped for me in that moment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Still, she was determined. She tried one round of chemo, but her body was too weak. She was transferred to a nursing and rehab center and lasted only a little over two days. I knew in my heart she did not belong there. I had her brought back to the hospital, where they discovered she also had a kidney infection. With strong antibiotics, morphine, and the mercy of God, she woke up for a few precious days.

<div>In the days before I brought her home on hospice, I found myself struggling with chest pain and shortness of breath. I drove myself to the doctor because I truly thought something was wrong. They told me it was stress induced asthma and started me on medication. It was a wake up call for me, showing just how much I had been carrying on my shoulders while trying to stay strong for Mom.

<div>During those precious days of clarity, we had the deepest heart to heart conversations. She did not tell me she was ready, but she told me she was at peace with whatever God’s will is for her life. Hearing that brought both heartbreak and comfort. I reminded her that Dad would be waiting for her when the time comes, and that she would see Abuelita and Papa, her parents and my grandparents, and most of all, she would see Jesus. The calmness in her eyes was something I will never forget.

<div>On November 18, 2025, I brought her home on hospice. My boys, Dylan and Brayden, helped me create a cozy space in my family room with Christmas lights so she could rest in peace and comfort. My aunt Lucy, my boys, and my family have helped in every way they could. My brother came to see her as well. There has been so much love around her, and for that I am grateful.

<div>I prayed for a long time before creating this GoFundMe. My parents were very private people. Asking for help is not something that comes naturally to me. But in my grief, in my exhaustion, and in those quiet moments when I felt like I could not carry everything on my own, I heard God whisper gently to my heart, “You are not meant to do this alone. Let people love you back.”

<div>With Thanksgiving and Christmas upon us, I am holding tightly to gratitude. I am grateful for the loving parents God blessed me with and for my incredible children who have carried me through this season. Even in the middle of so much heartbreak, I remind myself of the depth of God’s love for us, the kind of love that gave His only Son so that we could have hope, comfort, and strength in moments like these.

<div>There are a few verses that have been carrying my heart during this time, and they bring peace as I care for my mom and remember my dad.

<div>For my mom, I hold close the promise that

<div>“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

<div>For both my mom and dad, this blessing has brought comfort to our family:

<div>I also know that from the outside some may assume our family is financially secure. The truth is that the last several months have been overwhelming in every possible way. Caring for both of my parents back to back, the hospital stays, medications, hospice needs, medical supplies, constant travel, and the daily responsibilities of caring for my mom here at home has created a financial strain I never expected. God has carried us through so much already, and I am trusting Him as I open this part of our journey to you.

<div>So with a humble heart, I am asking for support. If you feel led to give, even the smallest amount would mean more than I can ever express. And if you cannot give financially, your prayers are just as precious to me. Every message, every prayer, every act of love has helped me stand when I felt like falling.

<div>Losing my father and now preparing to release my mother into Jesus’ arms has broken my heart in a way I can barely describe. Please hold your parents close, tell them you love them every chance you get, and cherish your time with them. Time is truly so precious.

<div>The funds will be used to cover my mom’s hospice and medical care, including medications, supplies, equipment, wound care needs, and the constant expenses that come with caring for her at home 24/7. They will also help with the financial responsibilities that have fallen on me alon…travel back and forth to hospitals and specialists, missed work, daily caregiving needs, household bills, and the unexpected costs that come with managing both of my parents’ care back to back. This support will allow me to keep my mom safe, comfortable, and loved at home without drowning under the weight of everything happening all at once. I am deeply and humbly grateful for every act of kindness.
