Hi everyone,

It is with deep sorrow that we share the loss of my father, Michael aka Mike or Grandpop. He was a son, brother, husband, and grandfather. We never imagined we would be facing this loss this soon. We thought this would be years down the road, but life had other plans.

He had been struggling with some pain in his leg for some time that gradually got worse. We finally convinced him to go get seen in December of 2024. He had all kinds of tests and scans done where he was diagnosed with lung cancer. We eventually found out it had metastasized to other places, his spine and brain included. He came home for Christmas where we had a very nice Christmas. My mom made appointments for him, and she took him to every single appointment and every single scan. She went to every radiation and every chemo appointment as well. We made sure he had various foods to eat and various juices to drink as well. We made sure he had all of his medications, even though he refused to take them until the very end because he wanted to be strong. He had good days and bad days.

He was 66 years old and was the third child born on the third day of the third month. He was always so proud to say that. He loved music, playing it, making it, and listening to it. He loved sharing it with his children and grandchildren, nieces, and nephews when they were younger. He loved science and the mythical and mysteries. He loved animals and his pets. He loved his family.
