<div>Hello, my name is Olivia and I am Julina/Juny’s older sister. I am creating this GoFundMe because Juny was hit by a car on 03/11/2024 while riding her bike near Davis, California. The car sent her flying 60 feet onto the side of the road where she hit her head bad enough to inflict severe damage on her brain. As I sit here in the ICU, she is in a coma, unable to breathe on her own, has pneumonia, and is in a state I never thought I would see her in, and a state that doesn’t feel real. As all of you know, Juny is the strongest, brightest, most full of life person that any of us will most likely ever meet. She breathes life and joy into any room she walks into and loves people with a passion I’ve never seen in another human. She doesn’t deserve any of this and yet here we are, relying on our prayers and faith that Juny will push through, just like she’s pushed through every other seemingly insurmountable challenge in her life. She will keep on fighting with every bone in her body because that’s who she is. There’s been so much love for her from all of you these past few days and I know the love seeps into her even if she can’t see it with her eyes right now and her mind can’t process it. The medical expenses for Juny’s healing are going to be extensive, and doctors are saying intensive inpatient rehab, after the ICU, will likely last between a month to a year, with ongoing support likely needed when she comes home. Anything you are able to offer in support of Juny’s recovery is invaluable to our family and we continue to thank you all for the ever flowing support you’ve given us during this horrendous situation.
