Help cover medical costs for Momma Farkas

Hello everyone, I’m Steve Kacala. I have set up this Gofundme page for my good friend Stephen Farkas and his family. The money raised from this will all go directly to the family to help pay for medical bills that have accrued over the past months.

 

For those of you that have not been aware, over the last seven months, Stephen Farkas' mom has been fighting cancer. Stephen and his family have been at her side through this ordeal. This has not been an easy time emotionally and financially for the Farkas family.

 

Here is some information about what she has been going through:

In September she was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma in the abdominal and left leg area making her immobile. Burkitts is an extremely rare and extremely aggressive cancer. 1600 people a year get it. After the diagnosis she went to Cleveland to start chemo every 3 weeks which started to fix the cancer. She had been bed bound and inpatient for 6 months. After her last chemo in February she was neutropenic and contracted a pseudomonas bacterial infection turned septic causing shock. And that’s where we are at.... she just never recovered.

 

Farkas has been a part of my life for nearly 20 years. He truly is a lifelong friend and brother. He has a way of making you smile, even at the worst times. This is my attempt to help out someone who would never ask for help himself. I am hoping that we can raise enough funds to help alleviate some financial stress for him and his family during this difficult time. ANY donation will help.
