Help cover end of life costs for Rena Tolbert

It is with deep regret and a heavy heart to share that my mother, my best friend, my road trip buddy- the sweetest and kindest woman I’ve ever known passed away last night.

She was comforted and surrounded by her hubby Zeke, myself, and my son David as she passed over.

I feel like I’m the luckiest son in the world to have been blessed with her as my mother. I inherited my sense of humor, my wit, my love for travel, art, poetry, chess, for swimming and the outdoors, my tenacity, my grit, all of it I got from her.

My mom’s heart is unparalleled though, she gave as if she were rich, she treated strangers like family, made friends with anyone that crossed her path, and no matter how hard of a time she was having, you’d never detect it, cause she always smiled and cracked jokes through all of life’s storms.

I believe I was raised by an actual earth angel.

She loved all of her children and grandchildren with her whole heart and soul.

My mom was diagnosed with pneumonia about a month ago. When she was admitted to Kadlec Medical Center, they screened her and found that she had aggressive lung cancer. They started chemo a few weeks ago but her body couldn’t handle all that was going on. I know that the medical team there did all that they could within their power to help her.

Her last wishes were to be cremated and that is the primary reason for creating this gofundme fundraiser. I need help covering costs of cremation, urns, death certificates, and other related expense. I could also use a little help with covering traveling expenses for me and my son.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
