Update: Monica's friends are helping her update her gofundme campaign, because she still desperately needs help.
Monica had brain surgery in January and February this year to relieve fluid in her brain. The second surgery has damaged her eyesight, and she is currently blind. Her partner has been out of work with a back injury, and has been helping as he can with household chores, taking care of their 8 year old daughter, and getting both Monica and her daughter to appointments as well as daily rides to school for Angel. Monica has seven different specialist doctors she visits, and has also had several stays in the hospital.
Her current home has stairs, which makes it nearly impossible for Monica. She falls often, still is having a lot of trouble eating, and obviously has been unable to work in her business, Monique's Hot Kitchen, since last fall. Ideally, she would like to raise some funds to help her move to a safer home, as well as pay some of the medical bills that are definitely growing.
Monica's sister lives in Kenya and is ready to come to help with daily chores and with taking care of Angel. Getting her here is expensive, though, and requires a lot of waiting and navigating governmental red tape.
