Corey’s Family Needs Our Help.

Corey Lawrence took a nasty fall while skating vert in Florida last Sunday, 5/2/21.  

Unfortunately this one was bad.

Happy Mother’s Day! Corey’s kids arrived late last night from KC. For a short time this morning, the family will all be together at the hospital before our sister, Jaime returns home. Corey is unconscious. Breathing is assisted by ventilator. He can remain on ventilator for a few more days. Any movement of a arm, hand or foot is involuntary. He is not brain dead or in a coma. His brain responds to stimulus and hears noise but doesn’t comprehend what is said. In other words, it’s his brain responding to stimulus...not Corey. In the doctors words...”he is no longer Corey.” We hope this update helps all of you have a clearer picture of circumstance. There is no expected change in his condition or recovery. We will continue to read aloud messages from all of you. There are no words to express the gratitude we feel for the outpouring of love for Corey and his family. My dad who is sitting right beside me just said, “how do we even thank everyone for their prayers and support?!!” We love you all❤️

The beneficiary for this campaign is Lori East, Corey’s sister.  She came to me and asked me to set this up to help push it through the skateboard community. 

The funds will go toward medical bills and cremation services for Corey.
