A Little About Myself!
Hi, I'm Corey Ramos, and I'm reaching out for support to compete in the 2025 IFSC Paraclimbing World Championship in Seoul, South Korea on September 20th-25th. As a finalist at the 2025 National Championships and silver medalist at the 2025 Paraclimbing World Cup in Salt Lake City, I'm training harder than ever to reach new heights in the sport I love.
Why This Matters:
This year is especially significant - paraclimbing has just been announced for inclusion in the 2028 Paralympics! As someone born without my right leg, I've found my true calling in climbing. For the past 15 years, this sport has challenged me, inspired me, and shown me that what others might see as limitations can become unique advantages on the wall.
My Journey:
I discovered climbing 15 years ago, and it quickly became more than just a hobby - it became my passion and future. The constant problem-solving, the need to adapt, and the mental and physical challenges make every climb unique. My success at this year's National Championships and World Championship has shown me that my dream of turning this passion into a career is within reach.
What Your Support Will Fund:
I will be out of the country from September 13th until October 3rd, and I need your help to cover the competition expenses. Here's the breakdown:
Flights: $1,400
Hotel Accommodations: $1,800
Food During Stay: $1,000
Local Transportation: $300
Total Goal: $4,500
My Commitment:
I'm dedicating the next years to rigorous training and competition. Your support won't just help me attend this championship - it's an investment in my journey toward the 2028 Paralympics. I'm training harder than ever and feel more confident than ever in my ability to perform at my peak.
Thank You:
Whether you can donate or simply share my story, I'm grateful for your support. Every share, every dollar, and every message of encouragement brings me closer to my dreams as a competitive paraclimber and Olympian.
Thank you for being part of my journey!
-Corey
