Hi! My name is Renee and I am raising money to help cover Cooper's surgery for a herniated disk.

On Sunday, September 14th, I noticed that Cooper wasn't jumping up on the couch, ottoman, beds, etc. I took him to Animal Hospital of Nicholasville on Monday, September 15th. He was given 2 pain medications and a non steroid. By Wednesday, September 17th, his back legs were paralyzed. Took him back to Animal Hospital and then to MedVet in Cincinnati to see if he was a candidate for surgery. He was diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease, common place in dachshunds, and small breed dogs. On September 18, he was given an MRI and then onto surgery due to a disc herniation. The surgery performed was a hemilaminectomy to remove the herniated disc. Cooper is to be crate rested for the next 4 weeks. This came completely from left field. Cooper is doing the best he can, but he has a long road ahead of him. Please give as the Lord leads you. Prayers are also appreciated. Thank you. God Bless.
