HELP COMMUNITIES RECOVER FROM HURRICANE AGATHA

We had a very big hurricane where I was staying on the south coast of Mexico. I was very lucky because I evacuated the day before it hit to a town 7 hours north of the coast.

 

But the coast where I was staying has been completely destroyed. Houses ruined, no electricity or power, massive food and water shortages, missing people, some people dead and many animals dead also…

 

It’s totally devastating. I’ve spent quite a lot of time and energy building community in these areas and the majority of these people I came across are beautiful souls with very big hearts. Some of these communities do so much good for the environment such as the famous sea turtle conservation work in La Ventanilla… and this town as well as others has been completely destroyed.

 

Although I evacuated a few days ago as I wasn’t in a safe building there, I am going back down there this weekend to help communities with whatever they need and right now I am organizing a fundraiser to take supplies down for them such as food and water etc. Once I get down there I’ll be connecting with communities to see how any funds can help in rebuilding their losses such as homes, repairs and goods etc.

 

I am putting out a heartfelt ask that you can contribute whatever you can to help these people and their lands to rebuild their lives. Even $2 can go a long way out here so anything you can give would be well received.

 

These natural disasters can creep up on any of us when we least expect and the most important thing that can get us through these times are the helping hands and hearts of other people, no matter where you are in the world.
