Hello, my name is Ashley. My son Colt was attacked by a dog he grew up with on July 23, 2025. His aunt saved his life by grabbing the dog off him as I grabbed him and ran, calling 911. His aunt was then attacked by the same dog.

He had major damage to his face, which required surgery that included 80 stitches, inside and out, and multiple fractures to his orbital wall (under eye socket and sinus cavity). His eye was spared. Now healing slowly, he's in need of plastic surgery for his scarring. We just found out that our insurance will not cover his plastic surgery needs, and it will cost us out of pocket.

During this process, it has been a struggle as now Colt, his aunt, and I all have PTSD and anxiety attacks. We are already behind on bills for visits with the plastic surgan. We are asking for any help that can be given at this time. Thank you.
