Help Clarence Recover from Loss of Cows

Donation protected
Let’s help our neighbor, Clarence Balser, recover from the loss of 31 cows that died on December 22.  This was a devastating and expensive loss!  Based on an examination by a veterinarian, these cows died from eating hay that had high levels of nitrates.

If many people will donate a little, it will really add up!   If 2,500 people donated $20 each, we would raise $50,000.  If half that number donated $40 each, we would hit the same target! There are many good people in the Ellicott, Yoder, Rush, Edison, Hanover, Calhan, Peyton, Falcon, and Simla areas that hopefully will be able to help! Any amount, large or small, will be appreciated!

If you prefer, you can mail a check to Farmers State Bank, Attention: Wade Yoder, 445 N. Ellicott Highway, Calhan, CO 80808. The check should be made out to Clarence Balser Relief Fund.  You can also visit any of the three FSB branches.

You may or may not know Clarence, but he was born and raised here.  You likely drive by his house every time you go to town on Highway 94. Let’s show Clarence that we are still a community that cares!

Here is a link to a recent story on KKTV:  KKTV News Story

Clarence still has some cows, but we can help him rebuild his herd.  The loss is much greater than $30,000 but we can start with that!
