Help Chuck Barna Recover from Hurricane Ian

Hello everyone,

 My name is Carstyn Barna. My father, Chuck Barna, is a survivor of Hurricane Ian. My family and his friends were left in the dark because we did not know if my dad had made it out alive. By the grace of God, my mother had an article sent to her today that had my father on the front of it. We still have not heard from him, but we know he is being taken care of and hope he is receiving medical attention for all of the gashes on his body and head.

 I made a GoFundMe to financially help my dad after such a traumatic experience that I wouldn’t wish upon anyone. This quite literally feels like I am living in a nightmare. 100% of the fundraising will go directly to my father to get back on his feet, considering the only belongings my dad has left are the clothes he is wearing. The home he was staying in is now demolished with a car on top of it. An article talked about how my dad fears his roommates are dead (without choice, he separated from them during the hurricane). He is in pain and scared right now. The funds will also be used to get him back to his family because that is what he needs right now (And prayers). Words cannot explain the feelings my dad is experiencing after nearly fighting for his life. 

 I want to share a statement from the Tampa Bay Times about my father:

 “Behen soon stumbled upon another man (my father), who said he’d ridden his roof through the flood to shelter, slept on a porch, and feared his roommate and two others were dead. He had no shoes and bloody gashes on both his head and legs.” -TB Times
