Nursing school is tough. It takes a special type of person to go through and withhold the stress, the anxiety and the financial strain that comes with it. Going through school you build a relationship with people. Friends become family because well, you don’t really get to see your own family because of hours of lecture, clinical hours and studying. You need those people to build you up, cry with, vent with and ones who show up randomly with a pick me up coffee. People who don’t leave your side because they get the struggle as well and let you know you’re not alone.
Christy is that person. She would give the shirt off her back to anybody. Many people have witnessed this first hand in our cohort and outside of our cohort. She is an active member and head of SGA. She serves every chance she gets at her church. She will give you her lunch when she doesn’t even have one herself. Christy is a high honors student and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau along side of working 2-4 jobs. Recently Christy was told she wouldn’t be able to sit for her last nursing class with her cohort due to the balance she has actively been paying on. If you know Christy you know she is a giver but hates being given to. Like any nursing student in their final class she deserves to sit for this class!
This go fund me account is being set up for donation to help christy register for her last ever nursing class. She doesn’t know about this account so please refrain from informing her. Christy gives so much of herself to others so this is to give back to Christy, to help her finally close this chapter and move to another one where she continues to bless and serve others!
