I recently faced a life-threatening crisis and had to go to the hospital after a failed suicide attempt. The emergency room and EMT bills are overwhelming, and I had no insurance at the time. I needed emergency care to save my own life and spent nine days in rigorous therapy and medication before being discharged. Now, I am struggling to pay these bills with no work and very few prospects. The stress is overwhelming, but I am trying my hardest and asking for help.
