Hello friends, family and hopefully new friends! My name is Christopher Archuleta and in my eternally supportive girlfriend's arms is my dog Macy. Macy and I have underwent a few months of medical stress that I never thought either of us would face. For the last eight months, I've been dealing with gastro related issues which have been strung up as cancer, IBS and about ten other ailments at one point or another and with those different tests, the bills have really stacked up and have kept me very stagnant and concerned about making ends meet. I work two jobs totaling between 65 and 80 hours a week with very, very little to show for it and that was before Macy began her medical journey. On Thanksgiving at 4 AM, she began hyperventilating and shaking which has never happened before and as any pet owner would do, I panicked. We were required to drive two hours to the nearest emergency vet clinic since it was a holiday and everything local was closed. Blood test came back with a concern in white blood cells so an X-ray was done. X-ray showed some concern so we did an ultrasound. The ultrasound shows fluid surrounding her kidneys in a very small amount (the veterinarian said she'd never seen a dog have so little and have such adverse affects from it.) The fluid however because it was such a small amount could not be pulled for testing to see what we're up against without the possibility of damaging her internal organs so we are still monitoring her and making sure she has absolutely everything she needs. The stress and absolute mental/emotional defeat that goes into the sickening of a loved one like this is something I've never known before and I'm turning my eyes to Gofundme for assistance in the financial woes that we've experienced for the last few months to recover and be prepared for the future. Any help would be an absolute dream come true for us. If you have anything to give, please consider sending it our way to better our futures. Thank you all so much in advance and Happy Holidays.
