Please Help My Mother Recover After a Serious Accident

Hi, my name is Courtney and I’m raising funds to support my mother, Christine, who is currently facing a very challenging time. On October 1st, 2024, she lost consciousness and crashed into a house and was rushed to the hospital. She’s been there ever since, while doctors work to figure out what caused her medical issues. In addition to being hospitalized, her car was totaled in the accident. Unfortunately, after the insurance company paid off the remaining loan on the vehicle, there was nothing left to help her purchase a new car. We are scared and don't know what to do. With my Mom in the hospital, and upcoming rehab for weeks, she will not be able to work and pay her bills. To make matters worse, We live in SouthWest Florida, Hurricane Milton is on the way, and we are worried we will now lose our home to flooding. I have been doing this by myself and I don’t know how we will make it without some help . I am just at a loss of words.

The Impact

My mother has always been the strongest person I know, working hard for all she has. However, this sudden medical emergency has turned her life upside down. She’s unable to work and will be off for several more weeks as she begins rehab. Without her car and the ability to work, we cannot pay for the covering medical bills, everyday expenses, and transportation to her appointments. Work, when possible, is and will continue to be overwhelming. My mother and I are newer to Florida and do not have people here to help us like we did in Ohio. There is nobody here to call for a ride or anything.
