Help Christine Crush Her Biggest Summit

Donation protected

Adventure seeker, goal chaser, trailer runner, lover of dirt, just some of the many ways to describe my best friend. She would take the shirt of her back and the shoes off her feet, for anyone.

As many of you know, and some may not know. On the night of June 29, 2021 our family received a call from the hospital that has impacted and changed our lives.

My sister Christine Knicely was out for an easy run. A simple 8 km as part of her training for ultra marathons when she was tragically involved in an accident in which she was stuck by a vehicle and has ended up in critical condition.

My sister is the strongest, hardest working, kindest women I have ever met. She has and always will be my role model, and best friend. She is the light in everyone’s life. She is encouraging and courageous. Spontaneous and always up for an adventure. From seaweed to summits she has and will conquer every hardship and milestone brought her way.

As I write this I am sparked with every memory and inside joke her and I share. I am devastated and heart broken. No one deserves to go through what she has gone through in her life, but she has taken every battle and has never been defeated and that won’t stop now.

We do not know what obstacles will come on the long road she has ahead of her. Therefore we are asking for everyone to keep her in your thoughts and prayers during these hard times.

We are thankful and grateful for all of the first responders on scene, the team at the Royal Alexandra Hospital where she was first taken as well as the University of Alberta Hospital where she is receiving ongoing care. She is in the absolute best hands she could possibly be in and every nurse and doctor have been nothing short of amazing.

We are overwhelmed with the amount of kind messages and calls and comments we have received from each and every person.

She is so loved and I can’t wait to share all the love each and every one of you have shared with me, once she is ready.

If you are able, we started this for whatever she may need in the near and far future in regards to bills, medical needs and ongoing care for her and her animals.

We thank each and every one of you for thinking of her continuously, and for praying for her.
